Smiles are contagious and for sure the bride Rachel's unending smile was a pleasure for all to see on her and Jason's wedding day, May 28, 2017 at the Newagen Seaside Inn in Southport Island Maine. Matthew and I photographed the wedding beginning at noon with getting ready photos, and a 2:30 First Look under the trees on the lawn at the Newagen. We braved the docks for more photos and a day with a decent amount of waves to contend with. Next we went to Rachel's parent house for family photos and the Katuba signing. The ceremony was at 4:15 and guests enjoyed the rituals surrounded by the glistening Maine ocean. Soon after guests went into the cocktail hour to get fed and warmed up. As Rachel and Jason took 10 minutes to truly be alone, not even I was allowed to go with, I took portraits of willing couples walking up with the gorgeous ocean in the background. Reception was kicked of with the Hora, to get the party started right! And the night ended with pie and dancing. It was wonderful Maine wedding to photograph and be a part of!
