Chatham Bars Inn: Love Not Posed

Love is many things but it is not posed. If you are someone that isn't crazy about being photographed or don't think you take good pictures, let me share this with you. You love the person you are marrying yes? Just be comfortable expressing that and the pictures will fall into place. All I want from couples while photographing them is to get lost in the moment. I was reminded of this while looking through wedding images of Natalie and Jimmy from their wedding at Chatham Bars Inn.

The wedding images from Natalie and Jimmy's wedding a few years back at Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod reminds me how much a wedding day is shaped by the energy of the couple. Jimmy didn't hold back sharing his enthusiasm for his new wife, and happiness for the day in general. Love like that cannot be posed. You don't pick up your love and stand MJ style on your toes unless you really feel it! Jimmy was a unique man no doubt, the stories I heard from the toasts had me tearing up they were so funny. But even though you may not be a Jimmy, just be you and be in the moment and we will get great photos. Here are a few images from their beautiful August wedding to get lost in. Enjoy!

 Life is short and tomorrow is not promised, living life to the fullest is something written on Instagram posts and Hallmark cards, but it is another thing to witness it and be able to create beautiful images from that energy. I will always appreciate these images and Natalie and Jimmy's genuine emotions from that day.

I still enjoy Jimmy's best man toast, describing him as such a happy guy the day he drove away from the gas station with the gas pump still attached to his big beautiful Cadillac (Bessey?) Jimmy just waved back to the people driving by trying to let him know that there was a gas pump attached to his car! :)
