A posed family photo? What is that with a toddler and twin babies?! Tory told me she really didn't want that. But somehow when I was getting portraits of the twins solo Remy the older sibling gathered and wanted Dad, and so hey let's get mom too! What I love about the photo above is everyone is doing something so different from the next but very much in character for who they are.

I photographed Tory and Jarek from their engagement shoot in 2012 in Portland. We started at LFk and walked around Congress St that chilly fall day. Then their wedding in 2013 at French's Point which was so colorful and beautiful. Now 5 years later here they are with 3 beautiful and very different children. My daughter Lucia helped me on this family shoot. Lucia's friend Kara from the horse barn is Jarek's cousin, another connection. Early that day I had photographed a senior portrait session, and Tory said one day you will be shooting Lucia's! AH, I know I said, only 5 years! And she says "Yeah, 5 years, and looked around at all her babies and said laughing a lot can happen in 5 years!". Indeed it can.
