Heather & John Celebrate 18 years of Marriage at Higgins Beach

Heather & John have been married 18 years this August. You might wonder with 18 years where are the kids? The kids are not in these pictures because the annual Harvell family session at Higgins Beach was over and they went back into the house. Big surprise! I asked to get a few shots of Heather and John. I always ask couples to get a few photos and sometimes it is met with a little resistance. Heather did just that. She kept telling me, "I like being on the other side of the camera" Heather is a photographer also. But John and I didn't let that stop us from continuing on. There are a few things I like about these photos. I like the expressions on their faces, you know they know each other. I love the fog that came in out of nowhere and knowing the fact that had I listened to Heather without any protest we could have walked away and never captured these. The love is real and the love is good. And like Heather said "marriage is hard but the love is good". Parents always want photos of their kids and with the kids. That is all good but sometimes we need just the original components to the family. Here's to love.
