Fall Family Photo Shoot Outfit Ideas

You can't deny that all the vibrant colors of Fall make the perfect backdrop for a family photo shoot.  There is something about the cool air, yet warm sunshine that puts a smile on my face...and everyone else's!

So you are thinking about planning a Fall photo shoot?  Or have one already booked?

  • What colors do you wear?
  • Do you match the Autumn leaves?
  • Are you planning a Holiday card?
  • Will it be cold enough for a scarf and hat?

There is a lot to consider when planning a Fall shoot.  I am here to help!  Here are some color schemes and outfit ideas for Fall family photo shoots that I have photographed myself!

Navy & Yellow

Navy blue compliments both bright yellow and mustard yellow so well which gives you endless ways to mix and match jeans, tops, dresses, and accessories.

Navy & Tan

Navy blue seems to be a popular color for Fall!  Sticking with the Navy trend, try pairing it with some light browns and tans. You could always add a pop of color for fun too!

Earth Tones

Earth tones a wide variety of colors that all work well together.  This can include brown, tan, olive, brick, maroon, mustard, navy, charcoal, burnt orange, and others!  Having this many colors compliment each other make it easy to coordinate outfits.

Neutrals

Neutral colors are so great for all seasons, but especially Fall.  There are so many colors surrounding us with the changing leaves and sunny skies that colors such as black, gray, white, and tan blend nicely.

Buffalo Plaid

I know what you are thinking...buffalo plaid isn't technically a color.  But when it comes to Fall, buffalo plaid is ALWAYS a great choice.  Plus it comes in many colors which is why I gave it its own section!

Shades of Blue

Blues have always been a great option for coordinating family photos because there are so many variations and shades, and they all work well together.  It's so easy to mix-and-match the entire family, and the best part is that you can throw on a pair of jeans!

Lastly don't forget to.....ALWAYS play in the leaves!!
