X-9 Hip Hop Exchange in Portland Maine

I am a proud sponsor of Portland Youth Dance's hip hop exchange, X-9. This year's event took place at the Maine Basketball Academy in Portland, Maine, on Sunday March 3rd. Dancers from across the state and New England came out. There were three categories to battle: Breaking, Freestyle, and Freestyle 15 and under. The energy was high and the music was loud. It is a one of a kind event in Maine. Special thanks to Elizabeth Lau of Portland Youth Dance for making this event happen. It is in it's 9th year. Here are just a few of the many awesome moments from X-9.

Incredible performances by Max Capacity of the Sharon Lux Dance Studio, Portland Youth Dance Crew and Alma Lea Dance Studio.

An event would not be complete without MC's, Dj's and judges.

Shout out to B-girls, Victoria and Dominique. They drove up from Rhode Island and Massachusetts to be a part of it.
