A Socially-distant March Maternity Shoot During COVID-19
When Katherine and I discussed her maternity shoot in February we did not have social distancing on our minds! We originally had our shoot scheduled for March 23rd and two weeks before we decided we needed to move it up because talk was stirring. We decided on the date of March 16th, two days after the governor issued a stay at home order. The shoot was scheduled to take place in my studio, probably one of the cleanest places to travel too with low traffic. But still, it was not something we felt was worth the risk. What we did instead was a shoot outside with distancing! Charlie Hudson of Hudson Media created a video to showcase this shoot at the beginning of the crazy times as we now know.
Katherine now has wonderful maternity photos while she awaits her baby set to arrive a day before my daughter's very own birthday, which is Earth day. The second person I know with April 21 due date. YAY! Babies are still being born during this time which is lovely to think about. We wish you the best while bringing your new child into the world Katherine and we are very excited for you and Charlie!
Check out our March 20th shoot in the video below!
I also photographed Charlie and Katherine's wedding last fall, check out their wedding images if you like!
If you are interested in having a socially distant shoot for yourself please be in touch! There are many workarounds to having a fabulous shoot and staying germ-free.
