A Small Safe Wonderful Wedding

This past weekend I photographed a wedding that was planned in 5 days. The date had been selected long ago, but the big event was moved to next year at the same time and place. This past Tuesday I received a text from the bride asking if I was available the coming Saturday to photograph her wedding. I reschedule a 2-year-olds shoot to Sunday and became available. It isn't every day someone plans a wedding in 5 days. What happened this weekend, rather last minute and spontaneously, was wonderfully and thoughtfully done. Like Mother Teresa said, "we can do no great things, but only small things with great love." This particular wedding day was an example of that sentiment. There is much to cherish and hold dear to our hearts these days; the love we have for each other, the love we have for humanity and the well being of all living things and this wonderfully chaotic world. I think the pictures here share a sliver of that on a beautiful day on the coast of Maine on June 27, 2020.
