Winter brings newborn sessions, and what a better way to enjoy a Maine winter day than staying in home cuddling with a precious new baby! Meet little Griffin at 13 days old. Griffin really engaged with the camera! I know his little eyes cannot focus but his gaze would be fixed on the sound of the shutter. It was awesome. I came into his home to find him and his Dad quite content in the swivel chair awaiting their photographer. Aside from not liking too much solo time, Griffin's shoot really well and when his grandparents arrived for their visit, they found us outside getting a few shots while Griffin slept. His timing was perfect!
What I appreciate about in-home sessions is it tells a more complete story of a babies life than just how they look, but also how their newly enlarged world looks as well, from the nursery to the house all set in snow.
Because in-home sessions allow me to photograph narratively, images from such sessions look great in a book and or in a framed series. Below is a sample of framed series from Griffin's first photo shoot. All framed images come with its corresponding digital images, which makes this series of 9 a big favorite with moms and grandmoms too!
