Allison and Mark's Portland Engagement Shoot

Allison and Mark came to Maine this summer to visit with Allison's family, plan their 2020 wedding and have time together. To Allison's surprise, Mark thought having engagement photos would be a good thing to do, I agree! When I met with them we discussed the shoot location, I proposed the cider house in Pownal, or the Old Port and Eastern Prom. In the end, we went with Portland, as the Eastern Prom is one of my most favorite places in the world. Their wedding will be on the coast of Maine and Allison hopes that many of their out of town guests will take advantage of how wonderful Portland is. Another plus to having our shoot in Portland is that it can give wedding guests a glimpse of what they could experience while here in Maine next July!

When the shoot was all done Mark thanked me for making the shoot fun and easy. I shared with Mark and Allison my theory on what makes a great shoot. It is not just the location, the light, the composition, it is the relationship between the people in front of the camera. Solid relationships and apparent love make for images worth looking at.
