Well, first things first, we've changed the website. Hoping the updated look will be easier to browse--and there's lots more pictures from weddings to life events to business headshots.
And, as part of the new website, I have added an online store. Previously, you could only make purchases of our products while in a gallery. Well, galleries are open for a specified time and, well, sometimes it takes some of us a while to make decisions. No fear--soon you can purchase items through store with pictures I have taken for you or even with digital negatives of your own. And we'll still have consultations, especially about albums and collages. So check in often, as new items will be posted as we work through the transition!
A Sweet Note
Lucia and her saxophone were part of a fabulous band concert held at Freeport High School in early April. The concert featured both the Middle School and the High School bands, a first in our experience. And how cool that my daughter and her classmates could be inspired by the older kids!
Stepping Out
Last month, my dance students from the Maine Coast Waldorf School held an exhibition performance at a local Coffee Shop. It certainly had many of them stepping outside of their comfort zone! Their routine highlighted the basic steps of salsa and bachata in couples dance to lively music from .... I think this is something I want to do more often with my movement classes.
Speaking of dance, on April 8, my team from Alma Cubana performed at Salsa Fiesta: A Fundraiser for Partners in Rural Health in the Dominican Republic. That night of fun included dance lessons for the guests from the talented Vanessa Webber. Don't hesitate to visit Alma Cubana's calendar on Facebook for new events and dance bootcamps!
The Wrestling Take-Down
You had a chance to meet my nephew Jake in a recent spotlight on his wrestling. After winning the Class A Wrestling State Championship for heavyweights, he went on to pin his way to an All-State Championship. That qualified him to compete in the New England Championships, where he came out representing Maine with a fabulous fourth place finish! He's going to keep wrestling in college, I have learned. He'll be going to the University of Southern Maine this fall to study business and be a member of the Huskies Div III wrestling team. Go Jake!
Lastly, just a reminder that Spring is here. Really.
